If you want to incporpoate the best ways to stay safe and protect yourself on the streets you will need to learn some simple martial arts techniques and get the advice from people that know street fighting the best. I am a guy who has done martial arts since childhood. I have fought in school yards, have fought on the streets, been jumped, been attacked, fought behind prison bars and now currently I am a bouncer at a busy night club. So I get paid to fight now. I want to share with you some simpole pointers on keeping yourself better prepared for violent encounters. I will give you some advice on self defense and I want you to take it seriously because it is a dangerous world out there.

Simple martial arts techniques #1 - This isn't really a fighting technique but it is completely essential. Be aware of the people you are dealing with and your environment on a daily level. Be aware of potential threats to your safety. This includes locking your car doors when your driving, or locking up your house tight when your at home alone. This also means being aware of potential bad guys around you like drug addicts or criminal looking people. But that is not just it either, be aware of the people in your life. If they are prone to violence or show you any forms of aggression you should be cautious of them. Prevention is the name of the game when it comes to simple martial arts information.

Simple martial arts technimques #2 - If you are currently not active in a martial arts studio you should join one right away! Even if it is a simple thing like enrolling in a weekend self defense seminar or something as advanced as training all the way to your black belt. Any type of martial arts training is good regaurdless of what it is. If you already have already trained in a particular style for a long time, try looking into another type of martial arts to change up what you know and improve your confidence and skill levels with dealing with violence. Me personally, I am a great striker, but my ground game needed work so I have been training in Brazilian Jiujutsu the past six months.

Simple martial arts techniques #3 - Ok another huge component to keeping yourself safe is by being in the best shape you can possibly be in at all times. I know one family member of mine who is a teenager, dropped a hundred pounds of body fat over this past year. Why? Because he was sick of being teased and bullied and he knew that he couldn't handle himself in a fight or protect himself. He got beat up a lot because of his size. He tried fighting back, but his weakness and lack of health never aided him in protecting himself. A year later today he is in shape and a yellow belt in Karate.

These are some extremely simple martial arts techniques but believe me you need to know this. Most importantly you need to incorporate these things into your daily life and make them a part of you. Being physically healthy and training actively in martial arts is the best and most simple martial arts techniques I could ever personally teach you so take advantage of these tips!
